might be on to something

i've been thinking about the mathematics of fractal patterns and how it applies to the universe. michael marshall introduced me to fractals after i had a long discussion with him about physics and quantum worlds and string theory. i'm very pleased with the theories i've been coming up with tonight and i'm going to begin writing them now:
fractal mathematics, i believe, can be applied with accuracy to the universe if you look at any form of matter or energy as the 'empty space' of a fractal in which the fractal pattern is filling in, fraction by fraction, for an infinite amount of time (as nothing will ever be whole if you always add, say, only 50% of the missing value). the matter in our universe is made up of interacting energies that repel all other energies effectively in 3 dimensions creating a sphere of repulsion that occurs to the senses as a sphere of matter when they receive all forms of information being reflected from it. the surface area of the sphere is an illusion of solid form that has been simplified by quantum physics into a probability cloud of where this form will occur, but i believe it is in fact the 'event horizon' (best description i can think of. for now.) of the fractal pattern, a.k.a. the place in spacetime where the pattern is still flowing into ever smaller space as it continues recursion. this is where my idea becomes product of pure theory based on logical ideas. i believe that quantum mechanics uncertainty principal comes from the lack of information regarding the universe. i think if we were to understand smaller and smaller portions of space, or larger and larger portions (though smaller portions are more likely as our physical ability to reach or receive information on the macro scale is permanently limited as currently believed by science) we would eventually be able to uncover a mathematical pattern in the process of natural forces from a discovery of a beginning/end point where the universe seems to repeat itself when you get big enough or small enough. the most likely candidate for this is that we will discover a big bang on the micro scale (perhaps caused by a black hole or something else that would teach us the origin of the big bang) since the big bang is the oldest event we know of in the past and would be the first event to be recognized in repetition. since this pattern repeats with time, it can be assumed that all natural forces occur as a byproduct or branch of the pattern and are governed by the cosmological constant of light because the speed of light is also the measurement of the fractal pattern in some way, possibly it's progression. if this latter statement is true, then the fractal itself can be considered the fourth dimension of time, as all events occur in succession in one direction in the fourth dimension as the fractal infinitely repeats itself. it could then be said that the fourth dimension of time and the 3 dimensions of space are actually of the same origin, or rather that the dimension of time contains and creates the 3 dimensions of space. this is further backed by the scientific claim that time is a progression of energy. now for more philosophical stuff. so far, i've come to the logical assumption that the universe would be repeating itself into the microscopic scale, and our place in the universe is a collection of energy that is 'riding' the fractal pattern on a fixed scale of space. what i am proposing would mean that if we can attain the ability to observe infinitely small spaces, we would have the ability to look forward in time. this could explain why gravity is unnaccounted for, as it could be explained as the energy of the fractal equation's initial 'procedure' origin, which in turn set the cosmological constant of light. all the other natural forces are from a branch of the pattern in our universe that has split equally from one branch into equally divided branches that contain a portion of the initial pattern's energy (gravity). since the pattern repeats itself infinitely, gravity does not become weaker with time since it is dividing itself equally in all portions of the pattern rather than dispersing itself among new and uncertain futures that would throw the balance of energy in the universe. the power of gravity is significantly weak, however, in comparison to the other natural forces because when the natural forces' branch originally split with gravity, they were equal to half of their source. it may be possible, then, to determine that the true power of gravity from the initial source of the universe is exactly equal to the sum of the other three natural forces. this could also explain why the standard model continues to come up with more and more types of particles as they delve deeper and deeper into the microscopic universe, since each particle would be a unique branch of the pattern's energy at its own point in the pattern. as i'm writing, it has just occured to me that since the pattern is progressing at the speed of light/time, the distance into the future we can observe is fixed by the distance that our own universe has from the actual current progression of the pattern. it seems logical to me to assume that it is impossible to look so far into the future that you would see another form of yourself, because a 'piece of energy' in a fractal pattern does not continue forever in the same place and eventually the past on the macro-scale is physically extinguished as the pattern engulfs the space (this can be thought of as this: in the mandelbrot fractal, before the pattern is set in motion, there is empty space surrounding the mandelbrot which then becomes occupied by the pattern once it is in motion, but not 100% of the space. however, as the pattern fills in ever-smaller sections, it slowly engulfs old areas that had not been occupied yet. in my representation of the universe as a fractal, the 'empty space' around the mandelbrot is actually the energy in our universe and the space occupied by the mandelbrot itself what we know as 'empty space'. this seems logical to me as the nature of the universe looks like a balancing act, trying to cancel out each force with an equal and opposite one to get everything to a perfectly balanced point of nothing. this balancing act eventually succeeds as the pattern progresses, and the larger portions of space balance out while the smaller portions erupt into fractals.). the way we look at it from our existence in relation to the universe, the pattern's current position is in the future, and as it flows through space it's current events will influence the events in our universe when the same distance in time between our position and the forefront of the pattern is transversed by our 'energy' in the fractal.

perhaps the 'big bang' is the point of recursion for the fractal pattern; the point in the procedure that always triggers the restart of the pattern forever. if this is the case, it would be the point at which the energy of the pattern branches. for us, this branch caused the separation of the four natural forces. first, the big bang itself, was the seperation of gravity from electromagnetism and the strong/weak nuclear forces, which at that point were acting as a single force. later, that single force branched again, like into electromagnetism and nuclear force. from there, nuclear force branched again into strong and weak variants. electromagnetism may or may not be branched from each other.* certain forces apply only at certain scales, but affect larger scales since the macro scale is the past and the past is the culmination of the combination of all branches occurring in the future. when these forces interact with each other, it creates events in our universe that we interact with. these interactions, like i initially said, are the progressions of the pattern, which occur as branches which, like i said, would be individual big bangs. this gives a whole new view on how big the universe really is, and how small we really are.
According to Wikipedia, this 8-Curcuit model of consciousness presumes our brain evolved with the circuitry in place for higher consciousness although, at various stages in our species evolution, we had not yet attained the capacity to activate said circuitry. This model suggests that the circuitry for even higher consciousness resides in the right hemisphere, though we may not yet have the ability to fully engage its function. In my opinion, such an idea is analogous to evolving eyes before having the capacity or need to see--I just don't think evolution works in this way.
DrmDoc, very recently I would have completely agreed with you. The logic behind evolution is the original source of my own interest in science. Similar to what you have said, it sounded to me a lot like intelligent design.

During recent introspective contemplation due to a resolution of cognitive dissonance, I considered the paradox described here as a possible illusion due to my strict denial of intelligent design. I never thought of it in terms of this:

Theory by observation:
Our conscious experience is an incomplete event of energy, an individual chemical reaction that is sustained as long as we are still alive. It is then plausible to me that consciousness is an intrinsic property of all energy. Or, in other words, energy IS consciousness.
An organism can be thought of as at least, one isolated energy/consciousness that manipulates other, weaker energies (matter) in the process of sustaining itself. If consciousness/energy in an organism MUST be inherent, since energy cannot be created or destroyed, then our consciousness did not 'begin' at our birth; it is simply being perceived as an isolated, 4-dimensional event. This means that throughout all of evolution, pure consciousness has been present in the energies involved. Our conscious experience, however, may not be the only isolated energy within our organism, but rather the one isolated energy that
